Finger In The Chewy - 3:10 To Yuma

I've just recently gotten back from America where I saw the western film, 3:10 To Yuma.

Review: I have been enjoying everything that i've seen of Christian Bale until now. I don't think it was bad acting on his part, it just wasn't an exciting film.
3:10 to Yuma is apparently a remake of a film made before I was born. It is a western about a down on his luck war veteran (Bale) who has to escort notorious outlaw Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) to the town of Yuma.
Too much of the film in my mind is spent setting up the events that lead to the two's journey than actually on the journey (which in the end turns out to be a little boring in itself).

Do not be confused, if you liked the TV series Deadwood, that doesn't mean you're a western fan. 3:10 to Yuma never reaches the highs captured in Deadwood and does little in creating the adversarial atmosphere that to me was Deadwood's trademark.

I did enjoy the beginning of the climax where Bale's character is faced against a whole town, but felt that that concept could have been expanded on.
And i will try not to give away the ending, but to me it was very incomprehensible. I'm still not sure why it ended that way.
Anyway 2 out of 5 from me.
